about

Recordings to this release took place in April 1993 in the Sonnenstudio in Stockem, which was at that period some sort of homebase to the band.

All songs were still written by the band themselves. As already pointed out with the release ".and then.", the songs "Suzanne", "Eternity", "The Irreal Light Of The Sun" and "Stoned Again" were succesful reworkings of earlier songs, that showcased the experience, which Permanent Confusion had built up over the course of three years.

Furthermore the band had developed an individual style, which separated them from old dark- and coldwave-buddies, especially on small festivals, were Permanent Confusion still joined the old scene and shared bananas with the audience.

"Cosmic Sex" showed a small move to a more guitar-oriented lighthearted pop-sound, that could have rocked the mainstream two or three years later, but... no. Though the band took to this direction in 1993, you could not find Blur, nor Suede in here, but Permanent Confusion. The wild experimentals "hair" and "thoughts" would at least show the door to greater success.
