about

The Band continued their deadbeat Dark Wave-Sound, which reached a real maturity with the Recordings collected on "up-tight", named after both a bootleg-recording and a book about The Velvet Underground.

Immediate success was found with the song 1984, which was also released on a number of wave- and underground-samplers on both Tape or CD.

The Song Julie was dedicated to the french actress Julie Delpy, who could be seen in movie "Homo Faber" one year before with Sam Shepard taking the title role as Walter Faber.

The Recordings took place in Homburg, in the first days of January 1992 in the Deadeye-Studio. Engineer was a Mr. Stoffel, whose real name is Stefan Junkes. He would, at the time, also be the guitarist of hardcore-band 2bad, whose singer was the fab Lee Hollis of Spermbirds-Fame.
